Fill Yourself with Joy
Welcome to the latest edition of this message. We are grateful for your attention and to have this space to share messages with you. Many of you have already wavered on your New Year's resolutions, if you made some. And you know something that is okay. Resolutions are not something that are usually very effective for a very long period. There is the rare person who has that energy, what you call self-will, that propels them to keep going. Not everyone has that or at least not to that extent. This is a time of rest, time to step back, the holidays are over, it's cold out, it's wet, and a book, a blanket, and a warm fire sounds like the perfect place for you to be. We know that in your world you cannot spend all of your time sitting around reading a book by a warm fire, that for many of you, you have the daily grind, your regular job. For others you have jobs that you actually like and you get to spend time doing the things that you love to do. And if we were going to make a resolution for you, especially the ones who are working away at a job that they do not feel appreciated or they do not feel like there's a place for them to grow or it just isn't where you belong, our suggestion of a resolution would be to create within your mind the perfect job environment. What feels good, where you would like to be, what kind of work you'd like to be doing. And then feel your way into that position. Yes, we are talking about manifestation, but we are not suggesting you list every detail of what you want in the job and what your office will look like. We are suggesting you focus on how you want to feel, how you want to feel when you walk into the place of business, or how you want to feel when you walk into your office, or how you want to feel when you have matters to discuss with a group of people at work. Creating situations that feed your soul, that feed your needs for respect, admiration, cooperation, these tend to be more important than whether your office has windows or doesn't or whether you have a particular set of job duties. The easiest job duty can feel horrible if it's something you don't want to do and it is not suited for you. But a job that you don't necessarily care for, we're not talking the overall job just part of the job, doesn't seem as bad when you are being respected and you are being treated fairly and paid well.
Do you have something that you've always wanted to do, write a book, photograph the mountains, travel to the ocean, paint beautiful paintings, crochet an outstanding afghan, or a quilt that reminds you of your grandmother's? All of these things you can do, it's just deciding that they are worth the effort and most of all, giving yourself permission to do the things you like to do. Many of those things don't hold a high place in the things of life, yet by doing those things, by filling yourself with doing the things that bring you joy, your whole world expands as you recognize your worth and your freedom and your responsibility to do things that make you happy.
There is joy to be found in every day and you have the right to bring even more joy into your life. Remember, you are loved, you are wanted, and you belong. We love you.
